The Algarve is probably the area of Portugal that has the best conditions for practicing SUP. Not only the average annual temperatures extremely enjoyable but it's also possible to practice with any swell and wind directions in a normally calm sea, surrounded by stunning landscapes, flat water lagoons or rivers.

Furthermore, South Adventures is able to organize Tours to the deserted and ideal islands in Ria Formosa, or to any of the fantastic rivers Algarve has, or even just touring and exploring the coast on top of a SUP board!

For all our clients, South Adventures has protocols with the best Hotels and Resorts in the region, you can select from Vilamoura to Porches areas, from the 5 star Hotels to self-catering apartments. Transportation in top range cars to the chosen practice site, as well as to and from the airport is also provided.

Our instructor, Ricardo Taveira, is certified by IO SUP - International Organization Stand Up Paddle and ASI - Association of Surfing. His waterman background is huge with 25 years of surfing, 14 of kitesurf, 8 of teaching kitesurf and 3 of teaching SUP, this means that he is for sure the right person to guide you through your first steps on this wonderful sport!
